The “Ritchie plays to the moon” project was born in 2008, with the recording of three songs from the main composer/author Riccardo Croce. The “modern funk” tracks, ready for the European market, are inspired by the human being’s love, by devotion to the music and by life experiences between partners.
After a Marco Maffei’s (sound engineer and co-author) executive production, the songs have become dreamy and dance-ready.
In its punchy and involving songs, the band plays some unusual instruments with delicate tones, that are not common in the funk world.
His love for music is a life characteristic of the author, so that he has been handling turntable and cassette players since he was 3. Riccardo's attitude in writing music was always alive, inspired from the soul of the '80s and the funk of the '90s. His songs have taken strong shapes and essence just after the the 3rd millennium dance-house invasion, appreciated music partner for a time between two and eight hours per day. The band uses to compose "writing what the God of Music imposes them to write", acting as a bridge between dreamy and real worlds.
